Description
The Steel Blunt Pile is designed and manufactured to high engineering tolerances for a consistent profile and weight.
They can be used for training exercises and archery games such as knocking over the cans or popinjay. They are also a popular choice over pointed piles with certain field archery practices, such as stumping/tumping or roving, being steel they can take a knock and being blunt will not penetrate far, relieving the need to dig out deeply stuck arrows.
Many archers prefer these screw-over points as opposed to slip-overs, because they are far less likely to come off when pulling an arrow from its mark. These is internally parallel screw-over points are self centering, screwing directly onto the wooden shaft without the need to cone taper the shaft, and with the addition of a spot of glue the bond is second to non.
