Horn Points – Ox

Description

There is a minimum of 3″+ of workable material in the central section of these totally raw and unpolished Ox horn points, making them great for bow nocks and other craft uses. Materially speaking it is said they are weaker than buffalo due to the inherent properties, but perfect for the medieval purist or traditionalist craft maker.

When made into nocks they will have an appearance dramatically different from the oft seen black buffalo horn. They are very attractively coloured within and look stunning when polished. Stark, vibrant colours may be within in these scarce horn points typically light coloured centers diffusing out into straw / green outer grain, some have red/brown and blue tones in them.
